The “Y” in YMop stands for Cymatic. It’s also a tribute to Yale Smith, the visionary behind it all. With over 20 years of experience in developing carpet and floor cleaning equipment, Yale set out to create the world’s most efficient motorised mop. As Head of R&D, he engineered YMop from the ground up using science, experience and a commitment to doing things smarter.

Where Yale builds, John refines. From the earliest prototypes to the sleek, user-friendly YMop you see today, John’s role has been to translate invention into intuitive design. With a strong background in branding and user experience, he makes sure that YMop not only works brilliantly but also feels right in your hands.

What began as an investment quickly evolved into a leadership role. With over two decades of corporate management experience across Asia, Craig brought the strategic vision and structure that YMop needed to grow. Today, as CEO and Board Member, he leads the company with a sharp business mind and a strong belief in our mission.

A professional videographer and musician, Neil brings a unique blend of creativity and insight to our media department. His deep appreciation for cymatic sound waves helped shape YMop’s tech-driven approach to cleaning. An advocate for essential oils and organic living, Neil was also the proud face of the first “Pogo Family” showcasing our products in real homes, for real people.

Zai Zai isn’t just a turtle. She’s our talisman. Rescued and adopted at our China lab, she became a symbol of persistence and calm during our long journey to launch. Her quiet strength reminds us daily that no matter the challenge, we should keep our heads up and keep moving forward.
